Lillian Patricia Kern
Lillian Patricia Kern was born March 12th, 1929 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully September 29th, 2008 at the Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Pat is survived by her husband Bob, married for over 50 years; 2 children Pam Albert (Greg), and JohnKern; 2 grandchildren Jennifer and Jeff; and 2 nephews Randy Phillips, Vancouver Island, BC and Dean Phillips, Vancouver, BC. Pat was predeceased by her mother, Lillian Hannah, father Thomas Phillips, step father Jack Hannah and brother Tom Phillips. Pat attended primary and high school in Moose Jaw. Prior to her marriage Pat worked at the Army and Navy Store. She moved to Winnipeg where she taught dance at Arthur Murray’s Dance School. When she returned to Moose Jaw she worked as a telephone operator and then she proudly worked at Evan’s Florist. Over the years Pat was active in many interests: 4H Leader, Lion L’s, Friendship Circle of St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, local Arts, gardening (her passion and joy) and enjoyed attending outings of Nature Moose Jaw as well as attending meetings of the Canadian Club. Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane, Moose Jaw on Saturday, October 11th, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend John Ferrier officiating. A Private Family interment will be held at a later date at Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 80 High St. East, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 0B8, the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 9Z9 or a charity of your choice.
