Thomas Allen Kennerley
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and good friend Thomas Allen Kennerley. “Al” was born in Mazenod, SK on June 10th, 1935 and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in April of 1955. He married his life partner, Joan Campbell on July 20th, 1957. Al and Joan spent many happy years together on numerous Air Bases across the globe. They returned to Moose Jaw, SK in August of 1976 and Al retired from the CAF in 1978. Al then worked in the Telecommunications Section at CFB Moose Jaw until June of 1995. Al and Joan lived in Mortlach, SK for the next 31 years and then moved to Moose Jaw for the last 8 years.
Al was predeceased by his father, Tom Kennerley; mother, Vernetta Griffith; sisters, Ester Richards and Marj Kennerley; son, Terry Kennerley; and grandson, Jeff Kennerley. Al is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan; son, Doug Kennerley; daughter, Kathy (Marty) Knudson; sisters, Pat (Lloyd) Keller and Shirley (Ron) Cassidy; grandchildren: Amy (Mitch), Vanessa, Dan (Sara), Dustin (Taylor), Shaelyn (Wyatt), Dave, James and Julie; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Al was a fun-loving and good spirited person. He immensely enjoyed his family and friends. He was a long-time active Legion member, talented artist and an avid golfer. Al spent countless hours at his happy place – the Mortlach Go-Fore Golf Course.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held to honour Al. In lieu of flowers, donations in Al’s name may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1S8. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

Words cannot express enough, our sorrow to hear of Al’s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you move forward during these most difficult times ahead. The world is missing this wonderful man already……please accept our most sincere condolences.
We will cherish many fond and funny memories of Uncle Al. Our thoughts are with you during this sad time.
