Fern Hazel Evelyn Johnston

Fern Hazel Evelyn Johnston went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016.  Fern was born on March 3rd, 1911 and was 105 years old.  She lived a full life, caring for her husband and raising her seven daughters. Her greatest gift was hospitality.  She loved serving family and friends in her home.  Fern will be greatly missed because of her love for people, her great faith, and her commitment to spend time each day talking to God and praying for everyone in her family and circle of friends.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; daughter, Shirley Andrews; sons-in-law: Wilmer McDowell, Ralph Juhnke, George Higgins, and Everett Andrews; and grandson, Morley Kochendorfer.  Fern will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Lenore McDowell, Jackie McLeod (Mick), Betty Lou Juhnke, Isabelle Higgins, Paulette Crawford (Bob), and Judy Gray (Darl); twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  A Service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Fern will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sunset Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Friday, October 7th, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Fern’s name may be made to The Gideons International in Canada, P.O.
