Sherry Johner

Sherry Johner, of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on December 14th, 2011.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 19th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Father Louis Nguyen will officiate and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Tammy; sister, Marilyn; and her parents.  Sherry is survived by her son, Tommy; by her loving sister, Anne (Adam) Anakaer; brother, Martin (Jean) Moerike; numerous nieces and nephews; and by her loving pet, Missy.  In earlier years, Sherry loved to spend time cooking, decorating, gardening and shopping.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She made every holiday special for everyone around her.  Christmas was a very special time for Sherry.  In later years her health deteriorated, but her great determination overcame her many physical challenges.  Sherry loved all people from all walks of life and touched the hearts of many people.  A special thank you to P.J., Sherry’s home care giver, for being such a very special friend.  Donations in Sherry’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2M2.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
