LEO GEORGE ITCUSH
January 23rd, 1938 – June 12th, 2011
Leo attended school and graduated in the Readlyn district. After graduation, he worked in the Co-op in Assiniboia and then transferred to a small town as manager. Leo worked at IPSCO as a crane operator. He drove city bus in Moose Jaw and then drove taxi in Moose Jaw and Estevan. Leo held a commercial pilot license in his younger years. He was an excellent musician who played numerous instruments, his favorite being the violin. He loved dancing, playing cards and watching or attending football games. Leo was predeceased by his son, Leo Jr.; his parents, Ilie and Mary; and brothers John and Terry. Leo is survived by his children, Beverly Davis and Ilie Bissett; brothers, Bill (Bev), Don (Darlene) and Nick (Debbie); sisters, Dorothy Shenner and Sharon; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Helen Younghusband. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the RCMP, Moose Jaw Police and Riverside Mission. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 24th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Andrew’s United Church Chapel, 60 Athabasca St. E., with a reception to follow. Reverend Lynne Clarke will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Leo’s name may be made to the Riverside Mission, 40 Manitoba St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0A2.
