Devin Kenneth James Irving
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our dear son, brother, father, grandson and dear friend Devin Kenneth James Irving. Devin was taken far to soon on August 4,2023 at the early age of 34.
Devin has been reunited with his late grandpa Ken Olsen, godmother Jean Buchan, Ashley and Tracy Edwards, as well as many close friends who have also passed.
Devin is survived by his mother Arlene Irving, his beloved son Daxton Irving, his sisters Amber Metcalfe (Chris) and family, Angie Irving and family, Grandmother Marge Olson, his long-time partner Sarah Soveran, Cousin Kyle Edwards and his Aunty Gwen and family.
Devin’s contagious laughter and caring soul touched the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and many cherished memories.
From a young boy to adulthood, Devin could always be found at the rink playing hockey or shooting a puck with friends, especially with his lifelong friend Shanda Lorenz.
He spent many years working as a drywaller and had a great passion for what he did. Devin’s greatest joy was his “mini me” Daxton. The hours spent wrestling with each other or late night gaming on the Xbox.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his lifelong friends who were by his side for years. It’s heartwarming to see the strong bond of friendship and support around him. The love and care his mom Arlene has received has been truly uplifting for everyone involved.
The impact of Devin’s presence will forever be felt in the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
In honor of Devin’s life, a private celebration will be held for close family and friends as we cherish the memories we’ve created together.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a trust account established for Devin’s son, Daxton. Any contributions received will go towards Daxton’s future requirements and potential education expenses.
Your presence and support during this time is deeply appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
