Gladys Willena “Willie” Huygens
Gladys Willena “Willie” Huygens, aged 72 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on Wednesday, July 24th, 2019. Willie was born in 1947 in Kingston, ON. Willie made many friends in her lifetime, and they all loved her as much as she loved them. Caring, warm and giving was her nature. She had an irreplaceable soul. God bless her and give her wings. Willie will be sadly missed by her spouse of 41 years, Ron Mitchell; sister, Sylvia; step-children: Keith, Connie, Kathy, Elaine and Glen; many nieces and nephews; as well as special granddaughter, Michelle Haug who saw her through very trying moments in her fight with cancer. Thank you to her doctors, Dr. Baumgartner and Dr. Eric Bortolotti, and to the nurses and staff at Pioneer Lodge for the wonderful care. In keeping with Willie’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in “Willie’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1. Ron and family, we are saddened to hear of Willie’s passing. She will always be remembered as a fun-loving person and a joy to be around. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Marie and I wish to express our deepest sympathy on Willie’s passing. She was such a lovely woman who will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and warm heart. We got to see her about a month or so ago and she still had that upbeat spirit and beautiful smile. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this, your time of need.
