Lou Hunchuk
Lu-Anne Vivian Hunchuk was taken from us suddenly on the morning of Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Lou was born to parents, Velma and Lew Edwards in July 1956 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Lou found her best friend, soul mate and travel companion, Ron Hunchuk, later in life. They spent many years fulfilling their wanderlust together. They travelled across the continent and beyond, making new friends, visiting family and exploring the land, the crown jewel of trips being a two month cross Canada adventure concluding in the Maritimes. Between adventures, Lou and Ron enjoyed their time fishing, sailing, kayaking, camping and relishing good garage sale finds. Lou was a true Jill of all trades, enjoying many occupations throughout her life, but felt most natural behind the wheel. Predeceased by her mother, Velma, Lou will be sadly missed by her father, Lew; husband, Ron; children: Kyle (Janet), Cullen (Brittany), Garret, Keith, and Darien; grandchildren: Cohen, Emily, Levi, Sienna; brothers: Rick (Cindy), Chris (Maureen) and their families; sisters-in-law, Judy (Bruce) and Susan (Al); as well as many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Lou’s wishes, please join us for some laughs and stories in her honor on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Wildlife Federation Hall, 1396 3rd Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lou’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
I drove school bus when Lou did and it was such a fun time. I remember one fall when she was asking me about a spice she needed for pumpkin pie. I brought her the spice and got her recipe for Honey Pumpkin Pie. This is the absolute best pumpkin pie recipe and every time I make it I think of Lou. My sympathies to her extended family.
sadly I have to say goodbye to a wonderful free spirit and friend, smooth sailing lou

I’m so sad to hear about Lu-Anne. We were high school friends at Sir Wilfrid Laurier High School in Ottawa in the early ’70’s and reconnected on Facebook over the last few years. I’m sad we weren’t able to meet up again. She had such a big smile and laugh which I remember well from our teenage years. My deepest sympathy to you, and her family, for her loss.
