Verla June Lillian Humphries

Verla June Lillian Humphries, aged 87 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29th, 2019.  Verla was born in Manor, SK on November 2nd, 1931 to Herbert and Lillian Humphries.  She spent her childhood on the farm near Carlyle, SK, and then moved to Moose Jaw where she lived until her passing.  She was predeceased by her parents, Lillian and Herbert; and siblings: Leonard, Annie, Archie, Forest and Herbert. Verla is survived by her sister, Ferne Humphries; her chosen daughter, Teresa and her family; as well as many friends and staff from Citizens All Association and Pioneer Lodge.  Verla loved people, animals and music. She never turned down a chance to socialize or attend a function. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Verla’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
