Noreen Hughton
The family of Noreen Hughton of Moose Jaw, wish to announce her peaceful passing on September 27, 2013, at the age of 86. She was born in Tuxford, SK. and raised on the family farm. She followed in her mother’s footsteps by graduating from the School of Nursing, Moose Jaw General Hospital in 1949. Noreen was a proud nurse, Beta Sigma Phi sister, member of the Moose Jaw Hospital Auxiliary, and supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, but her real passion was following her four grandsons through their writing, musical and athletic careers. They were her pride and joy. Noreen is predeceased by her husband Andrew Hughton, sisters Dorothy Astleford and Eileen (Bunker) Scott, brother Bob Astleford, brother-in-law Jack (June) Hughton and niece Lee Anne Astleford-Helland. Noreen is survived by her loving children Basil (Tara) Hughton and Barb (Don) Morrison, her grandsons Jamey & Jordie Hughton, Kent & Kirk Morrison and sister-in-law Vera Astleford as well as nieces and nephews dear to her heart. A celebration of Noreen’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m in St. Aidan Anglican Church, 124 1st Ave N.E. Moose Jaw, with Rev. Deacon Arleen Champion officiating. Memorial donations in memory of Noreen may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. East, Moose Jaw, SK.
