Muriel Elizabeth Hudson (Cowan)
Muriel Elizabeth Hudson (Cowan) of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, December 26th, 2016 at the age of 78 years. She was born in Nokomis, SK on April 4th, 1938. Muriel married Kenneth Hudson on October 25th, 1958 and they built a home on the family farm north of Moose Jaw. Ken and Muriel had two sons: Daryl (April) Hudson and Terry (Nikki) Hudson. In her early years, Muriel worked in the office at the Eaton’s Store in Moose Jaw. She then commenced employment at Valley View Centre in 1978 and retired in 2003. She worked in her later years as a waitress at Carol’s Catering. Muriel was an extremely hard working woman all of her life, both on and off the farm. She was active in the Heavy Horse Pulling Club doing their books, played baseball, figure skated, and bowled in a league. Muriel valued her family and friends, and lived her life cherishing each and every moment spent with them. She always put others before herself and was interested in everyone, always asking and caring about people. Muriel had a kind heart and will be forever loved and remembered by her grandchildren: Blade (Alyssa), Amber, Rory (Brittany), Hallie, Kale, Piper, Courtney and Kruz; great-grandchildren: Bodyn, Drake, Hunter, Jaxon, Blake and Braelyn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, friends, and special friend, Nikita. Everyone who knew Muriel will remember her open door, food and beverages, and her warm smile. A Celebration of Muriel’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Bernadette Cey officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Muriel’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.
