Raymond Hove
With thankful hearts for a life of servanthood and sacrifice, we announce the passing of Raymond Hove, peacefully, at Pioneers Lodge, on Sunday, June 5th, 2016. Predeceased by his parents, three brothers and four sisters, Raymond will be deeply missed by his wife of nearly 64 years, Gertrude; son, Wayne (Janet); daughter, Ingrid (Greg); brother, Glen (Annette); grandchildren: Nissa, Jesse (Deanna), Rebekah (George), Kirsten and Kelsea; and great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Oakley, Lilia and Liah. Raymond grew up on the family farm near Strasbourg, SK and enlisted in the Regina Rifle Regiment in 1939 and served overseas. Upon returning to Canada after the war, he became a journeyman electrician and worked for Trans-Canada Pipelines in Caron, SK. Raymond loved his family and had a deep and abiding faith. He was an active volunteer in both his church and in the community. Gertrude and the family express their deepest thanks to the staff of Pioneers Lodge and to Dr. Rininsland for their compassionate care. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Bill Cantelon will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s name may be made to Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2E9.
