F. HARRY HOUSE
January 17th, 1921 – November 16th, 2015
It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Harry House, aged 94 years, at Providence Place in Moose Jaw, SK. His parents, Phillip and Hilda (Spratt) and brothers, Peter and David predeceased him, as well as several brothers and sisters-in law. Harry is survived and will be greatly missed by Elsie (Thompson), his devoted wife of 70 years; children: Penny (Dennis) McKenzie, Dan (Susan), Randy (Debbie) and Harley (Christine); 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mina Clark (Thompson); brother-in law, Hillis (JoAnn) Thompson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born and raised on the family farm in the Boharm area, Harry and his wife Elsie conscientiously worked the land and tended the herd until retiring to Moose Jaw in 1992. There they continued their love of yard work and gardening at their home on Queen Crescent and continued to be involved in numerous recreational, community and church activities. They moved to Mulberry Estates in 2007 and the past year was spent together in Providence Place, being cared for by the greatest of staff to whom we offer our sincere thanks.
“He left this world with the same quiet dignity and strength as he lived his life. A man of few words with a heart of gold who would stop and help anyone that needed him”.
A Celebration of Harry’s Life will be held on Saturday, November 21st, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Linsell Hurd will officiate and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.
