Mervin Horatchka
It is with deep sadness that the family of Mervin Horatchka aged 61 years of Moose Jaw, SK, announces his sudden passing on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023. Mervin was born March 18th, 1962 in Roblin, Manitoba. Mervin worked for CAE for 32 years, however his favourite titles were Dad and Grandpa. He made sure the ones closest to him were always taken care of and felt loved everyday. Merv was the life of the party and always wanted to make people laugh. He loved hosting and received joy in others happiness. His greatest pleasure was to travel, especially to Disney. He was predeceased by his father, Jim Horatchka and mother, Vera Horatchka. Mervin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Adam (Cassandra) and Matthew; daughter, Krista (Jason); his four greatest joys, his grandchildren: Samuel, Emmett, Abigail, and Hudson; sisters: Evelyn (Gary) McRoberts, Darlene (Don) Ibey, Jane (Tim) Bibe, and Joyce (Ervin) Slone; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Merv’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6. Sorry to hear about Merv He at one time lived with his parents up the street from me on the 10 hundred block Iroquois st. I attended high school with him at Riverview many a time we would get in and go for a ride in the 1974 Chevy Nova sorry for your loss Greg Nicholls.

so sorry to hear of your Dads passing. I have many great memories of camping and get togethers we had when all of you kids were younger. He was truly a good guy. My heart goes out to you all.
