Lloyd Owen Hohner
Lloyd Owen Hohner, born January 15th, 1928 in Brownlee, SK, passed away September 27th, 2011 in Central Butte, SK after a long illness. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Thelma Hohner; children, Nancy (Neil) Stubbs, Gail (Doug) Belanger, Lenard Hohner, Jill Hohner and AngelaMiller; grandchildren, Scott (Katherine) and Chris Radom, James and Aimee Belanger, Kelly and Liam Miller, and Brenna Park; and great-grandchildren, Maximilian and Emerson Radom. He was predeceased by his grandson Luke Hohner. Lloyd trained as a draftsman at Peacock Technical School in Moose Jaw, SK, then moved to Woodstock, ON where he worked at Truck Engineering for 25 years and Hohner’s Variety Store for 10 years, before retiring in Eyebrow, SK. Lloyd’s volunteer jobs included being a director of Church Camp at Bimini, Scout Master and Board Member of the Eyebrow Senior’s and United Church. His favourite activities included square dancing, woodworking, curling, and watching t.v. – especially the Blue Jays. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Eyebrow Memorial Hall. Reverend Rick McCorrister will officiate and interment will take place in Brownlee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lloyd’s name may be made to the Parkinson Society Canada, 4211 Yonge Street, Suite 316, Toronto, ON M2P 2A9.
