Haldon Hodgins
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Haldon Hodgins on Monday, April 13th, 2009 at the age of 95. He was born April 12, 1914 at McCord, Sask. A Celebration of Haldon’s life, dedicated to music and family and friends, will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Tim Ellis and Jim Tenford will officiate and burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery. He was predeceased by his parents, Garfield and Hettie (Ward) Hodgins; his brothers Lloyd and Ivan; and sister Shirley Guenther; six sisters-in-law; 11 brothers-in-law; and grandson Jay. Haldon is survived by his wife Coral (Malty); two daughters Joan (Garry) Holbrook of Big River and Carolyn (Russ) Ayerst of Mortlach; and one son Terry (Heather) of West Vancouver: granddaughters Shelley(Andrew) Beddow and Oliver and Erin of North Vancouver, Coral ( Damon) Edis and Orran and Elliott of North Vancouver, Sara (Robin) Wiens and Ronan of Salmon Arm, Kelly (Aaron) Woods and Dylan of Langley, Lindsay (Jason) Van Huizen of Vancouver; grandsons Mark (Kelly) Holbrook and Chase and Tylan of Nokomis, Lee (Leanne) Holbrook of Big River; many nieces and nephews and friends.
