I manage the Boston Pizza very close to the Mulberry where Viola lived. It was a great pleasure for myself and our staff to see Viola whenever she came in. She was often with her daughter, and or extended family. I will miss hearing her stories, especially the ones about the farm, I always felt she should give a talk to my girls about her life, so motivating and inspiring for women! She was vibrant, always looking her best with a big bright smile for all of us. We will miss her!

Lynden,
Sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. Condolences to you and your family.
Lynden and family,
I’m thinking of you as you remember your Mom’s and her remarkable life. It’s good that there is lots of family to surround yourself with.
Dear Lyndon, Larry, Ron, Gwen and MaryAnn,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Unfortunately we are unable to be with you tomorrow. However we have so many great memories of your Mom (and Dad) since they were such a big part of our family over the years. Mom always said that your Mom was like. ‘sister” to her. They loved so many of the same things- their love of music, nature, going for walks, and so many laughs and memories! We too share many special memories , and will treasure these! Hugs to all of you.
Art and Lillian express our heartfelt condolences to Viola’s family and friends, she will be missed by many.
Dear Auntie Viola;
May you bathe in the Glory of God for eternity along with your passed loved ones.
You cared for me when I was an infant as my Mother was seriously ill. You also cared for my 3 siblings and your own 5 children. My siblings and I were close in age with your children and we would have so much fun on the farm. You taught us to work hard, weeding a large garden, caring for live stock etc. My childhood was difficult but many of the best times were staying on your farm with you and your family.
“There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved”
I love you and I know you love me. RIP
My heart felt condolences to Auntie Viola’s children; Lynden, Larry, Ron, Gwen, Mary Ann and all their families. Also, my sympathy to all Auntie Viola ‘s siblings and all her many loved ones.

Tribute to Viola;
And they called her, “Little Myrtle”. Viola, you have left me in the lead. I am now the oldest, but don’t expect me to fill your shoes. I can’t cook a turkey like you, it was gorgeous and so delicious. Thank you for the many things you did for me. Also, thank you for the gift of singing, we did so much of when we were growing up. You kept in touch with everyone, the history of knowing what’s, what. I can’t do that.
See you soon, I am right behind you.
Love Sister Mable Ilien
