Walter John Hetke

Walter John Hetke, aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7th, 2012 at Extendicare in Moose Jaw with his loving daughter Sandra by his side.  Over 42 years, being an entrepreneur, Walter started his own business named Dome Construction Ltd.  His future endeavor began with a few trucks and big dreams.  Today, the business still remains in the family with promises that Walter always believed in, family and success.  Sports were another great interest Walter participated in.  He not only coached hockey for his sons’ teams but he also enjoyed curling.  He reminisced about his days as a Shriner and enjoyed music, dancing and local entertainment, but most of all he was proud to watch his family grow to be successful in all their own endeavors.  He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Olga Hetke; his sons, Walter Jr. and Dwayne; granddaughter, Cassandra; brothers, Edward and Freddy; and sisters, Martha Beglau and Adelia Grunwald.  Walter is survived by his children: Darrell (Tess), Taylor, Zoe, Karen, Maricar and Rico, Randy (Sheila) and Myles, Terry (Lori), Morgan and Jordan, Donna (Randy), Rachel and Matthew, Bernice (Dale), Tynan, Darby and Daralyn, Sandra and special friend Entisar, and Diane (Kelly), Mataya and Makena; brothers: Richard (Maxine), Ted (Janet) and Bill (Anita); sister, Agnes Talbot; nephew, Harold Beglau and many nieces and nephews.  He will also be remembered by the mother of his children, Adella Hetke; and dearest friends, Zita Swanson and Kirby Shumay.  At Walter’s request, the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ernfold Hall, Ernfold, SK.  Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will follow in Ernfold Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for Family and Friends will be held on Friday, July 13th, 2012 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations in Walter’s name may be made to the Parkinson Society Saskatchewan, P.O.
