Madeline Herbach
It is with great sorrow, that we announce the sudden death of Madeline on Thursday, October 8th, 2009. Madeline celebrated her 64th birthday on the 15th of September. She was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan in 1945 and lived her infanthood in Billimun, early childhood in Kimberley, B.C. and her youth in Mankota. Madeline attended school there, Sion Academy in Moose Jaw and completed in Prince Albert. She was predeceased by her parents Mathias and Rose Herbach of Mankota as well as her brother Gary. Madeline is survived by her siblings Roy(Sylvia) Herbach of Moose Jaw and Lynn Herbach (Joe) Cristini of Edmonton; her nephews Riley (Charmaine) Klassen and Gary (Sarah) Herbach; nieces Carleen Ellis, Erin (Wes) Schneider and Amber Herbach; also her eight great nieces and nephews. Her working years, though frought with ongoing illness, were spent in private child-care, care of the elderly and as an ambulance attendant. Her rather colourful character and spontaneous generosity leave her missed dearly by family and many friends. Madeline passed away in care at Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Appreciation is extended to the many doctors, staff and care-givers that supported her over many years. Preceded by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00 a.m., the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 12th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in her recent place of residence, Chateau St. Michael, 525 7th Ave. S.E. in Moose Jaw. Father Carlos Jimenez of Church of Our Lady parish will be the presiding celebrant. Burial will take place at Mankota Cemetery at a later date. For those so wishing, donations in memory of Madeline may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
