Eufred “Hubert” James Henry
Eufred “Hubert” James Henry – aka The Pilot – aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Clementine; wife, Gertrude; brothers, Alexander and Peter; and sister, Rose. Hubert is survived by his sisters, Ruth and Gladys; daughter, Rose (Corey); grandchildren, Amber and Dylan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Hubert was born July 26th, 1946, in Marivalle, SK. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, attending auctions, reading, and going to parades. Hubert especially loved his time training horses. Most of all, spending time with his family, and walking his dogs, were special times for Hubert.
Hubert was known as a great storyteller, and you would leave believing that he was a vet, pilot, or any other interesting professional. You were especially wary to pull his finger.
A Private Family Service will be held to honour Hubert. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Hubert’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

To Hubert’s family, We were very sorry to read of Hubert’s passing. Always enjoyed a good visit when we seen each other. We had in common our love of horses, he taught me a lot. I (Sam) enjoyed the day, I went on the mail run with him, out in the south country where I grew up. He will be missed. Our sincere sympathy to all his family. Sam and Terry McKechnie
I first met Hubie at the Exhibition Grounds many years ago and then at our shop and my husband got to know him at Johnstone’s.
He was always so pleasant, had a ready smile, and stopped to chat no matter where we were.
Rest in peace Hubie.
He was an old friend of George Wagners, that is how I met him. Nicest man in the universe. If you needed a dollar and he didn’t have one, he’d borrow one to give you. He was a kind man, a very gentle soul.
To the Family Hubert Henry, I am sorry to hear of Hubert’s passing. I work at Wal-Mart where he was a frequent customer. Although we didn’t know each other’s names, we always greeted each other. Hubert was friendly and always had a smile on his face. I know that he will be missed. Anita Hutchinson
