WILMA HEMING
May 12th, 1926 – March 13th, 2013
Wilma Elinor Heming, aged 86 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13th, 2013. Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Jim and their three daughters: Vicki (Garry) Olafson, Rhonda (Dwight) Williams and Jaye (Gordon) Mitchell; grandchildren: Stéphane (Vivian) Gauvin, Stacey (Jeff) Mullis, Michael (Stephanie) MacPhee, Jennifer (Travis) Weiss, Nolan Mitchell and Scott (Jenn) Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Vera and Ellie Gauvin, Kate, Garrison, Quinn and Emma Mullis, Rowynn MacPhee, Reid and Rylee Weiss. Wilma was born May 12th, 1926 in Regina, SK and grew up in Moose Jaw. She met and married, the love of her life, Jim on September 19th, 1945 and loved being a wife and mother to her three daughters. She was very involved with various ministries at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church. Wilma also enjoyed her many friends and many happy years playing “Bunco” and attending “Fatty Club”. The light of Mom’s life was her husband Jim and her grand and great-grandchildren. She would literally light up at the site of anyone of them. She was proud to be a stay at home mom and grandma and was always making special treats and lunches for her grandkids, never missing a play or ball game or anything else they were into. Let’s take time to Celebrate the Life of a Wonderful Woman on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Father Dean Pinter and Reverend Deacon Arleen Champion will co-officiate. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Wilma’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Assoc. of Saskatchewan Inc., 301 – 2550 – 12th Ave., Regina, SK S4P 3X1, St. Aidan’s Renovation Fund, 124 1st Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0Y8 or to a charity of one’s choice.
