Betty Heffley 

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Betty Heffley (Beisel) who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Rev. Ashley Taylor officiating. Betty was born on the family farm north of Rush Lake on August 12th, 1933. She attended Swan Lake School and in 1955 went to Hillcrest Bible School in Medicine Hat, Ab. On October 1st, 1960 she married the love of her life Alvin Heffley in Rush Lake, Sk. They resided there until 1965, then moved to Moose Jaw where she lived until her passing. Betty loved the Lord and it showed in everything she said and did and was an active member in her church. She was especially proud of her family. Her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren were the lights of her life. Betty was predeceased by her father Andrew; mother Rachel; father in law David; mother in law Julia; brother Melvin; sister Florence; as well as many brothers and sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She leaves to mourn her husband of 48 years Alvin; daughter Twila (Monty) Donaldson and their children Nicole (Matt) Lakusta, Kaden and Ethan, and their son Ryan all of Beaumont, Ab.; daughter  Darcy(Dean) Haack and their daughters Rachel, Tiffany and son Jeremy of Gravelbourg, Sk.; daughter Crystal (Ed) Dahlman and their daughter Kristen of Moose Jaw, Sk.; two brothers Gordon (Margaret) Beisel and family of Swift Current, Sk. and Ralph (Joyce) Beisel and family of Rush Lake, Sk.; sisters in law Emma Steinley and family of Swift Current, Sk., Irene (Doug) Simison and family of Sherwood Park, Ab., Elma Heffley and family of Swift Current, Sk.; brother in law Wilfred and family of Swift Current, Sk.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
