JOSEPHINE HAYWARD
June 19th, 1932 – February 4th, 2014
Josephine Hayward (Bozak) passed away at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital at the age of 81 years. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 13th, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. for family and friends in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend John McCubbing will officiate and a private interment will take place in Moose Jaw Crematorium and Columbarium. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Bozak; sisters, Louise Bozak and Mary Rusnak; brother, Glen Bozak; and granddaughter, Jennifer Hayward. Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her son, Wayne and his child Paul (Alyce); daughter, Barbara (Gerry) Deets and their children Lindsey and Benjamin; daughter, June and her children Danielle (Terry), Allisha, Ryan and Leah; daughter, Grace and her children Yasmeen (Raza), Anita (Adam) and Anthony; son, Clayton (Sandy) and his children Amy (Cristian), Jonathan (Ashley), Dustin (Trent) and Dylan; daughter, Helen (Rick) Tiefenbach and their children Trevor and Tylor; son, Brian and his children Victoria and Nichol (Aaron); great-grandchildren: Mariah, Liam, Monique, Kyler, Javier and Salman; great-great grandchild, Carter; siblings: John (Evelyn) Bozak, Elsie Gabel, Lena Gabel, Jennie (Gordon) Gabel, Marjie Ogroske, Gladys Eaton and Donna (Marcel) Knight; and numerous friends and relatives. Josephine was born in Spring Valley, Saskatchewan and moved to a farm near Moose Jaw with her parents as a child. Josephine worked as a cook at the Providence Hospital before her marriage. Josephine’s cooking skills were enjoyed by all in a busy life with a wide variety of activities that always included family and friends. Josephine loved animals and in particular enjoyed raising chickens, other poultry and a wide array of pet dogs. The love of farming, animals and the outdoors was always part of her life which included family picnics/camping at Buffalo Pound Lake. Josephine enjoyed people and meeting friends/family for coffee. She thoroughly enjoyed her travels in Canada, Hawaii and other USA destinations. Josephine will be missed and will be remembered for her strong and determined will, quick wit and good sense of humor and most of all for being a wonderful mother and grandmother. The family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks to the Intensive Care staff at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Josephine’s name to the Pioneer Housing Recreation Dept., 1000 Albert St, Moose Jaw, SK S6H-4N8.
