Herman Hauser
Mr. Herman Hauser passed away peacefully at Extendicare in Moose Jaw, SK on Thursday, May 24th, 2012 at the age of 96. He was born in 1916 at Neudorf, Saskatchewan. He moved to the Wolseley area in 1941 and began his farming career. He met the love of his life, Dorothy (nee Hack) and they were married for 63 years. They raised their family in Wolseley and retired to Moose Jaw in 1981. He was an avid reader. The books that he read catered to his interest in politics and world affairs. He served as a school trustee, a member of the Wolseley Zion Lutheran Church council and a board member of the Wolseley Co-op, and also volunteered his time to many other causes. He loved travelling, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Herman is survived by his children: Glenn (Yvette), Myron (Norma), Lorenda (Daryl) Bender, Clinton (Donna); grandchildren: Cindy (James) Williams, Brian (Michelle) Hauser, Jeffrey (Cory) Hauser, Jason (Krista) Hauser, Kara (Jason) Johannson, Sara (Houston) Forman, Terry (Crystal) Bender, Lisa (Tyler) Thul, Krista Hauser, Aaron Hauser, Kyle (Charlene) Hauser; great-grandchildren: Brendan, Keira, Owen, Teagan, Carley, Quinn, Taya, Logan, Sayde, Aliya, Julia, Riley, Kinley, Kenton, Brian, Daniel, Samantha; sisters-in-law: Marlene Hauser, Christine Hauser, Gertie Leier; brothers-in-law, Ferdinand (Doreen) Hack, Vern (Dorothy) Hack; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Margaret Hauser; wife, Dorothy (November 21st, 2008); brothers, Bill and Emil; sister, Ida Kappel (Fred); sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Philip) Hollinger, Katherine (Otto) Leier; brothers-in-law: Fred in infancy, Albert Hack, Alfred Hack, Joe (Betty) Hack; nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Dr. Rininsland for his many years of care and also to the Extendicare and Moose Jaw Union Hospital staff for their care and dedication. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 28th, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Drive, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend John Kreutzweiser will officiate and interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Box 1376, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 4R3 or to a charity of one’s choice.
