Dorothy Hauser
Mrs. Dorothy Hauser (nee Hack), beloved wife of Herman Hauser, passed away after a short stay at Moose Jaw Union Hospital on November 21st 2008 at the age of 88 years. Her husband and family were by her side. Dorothy was born at Goodeve, SK October 21, 1920 to Mathias and Katherine (nee Temple) Hack. She married Herman Hauser on November 8th 1945. Herman and Dorothy farmed in the Wolseley area until 1981. They enjoyed many years of retirement in Moose Jaw. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Dorothy’s life revolved around her family and her many friends. She loved camping with family, attending grandchildren activities and other family functions. She enjoyed volunteering at the Union Hospital, gardening, playing cards or games, needle point, crocheting, bowling, belonging to the German Multi Cultural Club, playing goodminton at the Eaton Center and participating in many church functions such as the 55 Plus Club. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years Herman, Children Glenn (Yvette), Myron (Norma), Lorenda(Daryl) Bender, Clinton (Donna), eleven grandchildren, Cindy (James), Brian (Michelle), Jeffrey (Cory), Jason (Krista), Kara (Jason), Sara (Houston), Terry (Crystal), Lisa (Tyler), Krista, Aaron, Kyle, nine great grandchildren, Brendan, Keira, Owen, Teagan, Carley, Logan, Quinn, Julia and Riley, two brothers Ferdinand (Doreen), Vern (Dorothy), one sister Christine Hauser, brother in law Otto (Gertie) Leier and sister in law Marlene Hauser, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Mathias and Katherine Hack, brothers Fred in infancy, Albert, Alfred, Joe (Betty) and sisters Katherine Leier and Elizabeth (Philip) Hollinger. She is also predeceased by brothers in law Fred Kappel, Emil Hauser, Bill Hauser, and sister in law Ida Kappel; nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Doctors and staff at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, and to Doctor Rininsland for the many years of care he has given to her. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, or the charity of your choice. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 26th at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 2:00 PM with Reverend John Kreutzwieser officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 25th, 2008 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
