Hazel passed away October 5th, 2010 at Pioneer Lodge at the age of 101 years.  She was born February 23rd, 1909 in St. Cloud, Minnesota and came to Canada with her parents at an early age.  Hazel was predeceased by her parents Amelea and Hans Hansen, 6 brothers and 5 sisters, and brother-in-law Bob Flett.  Hazel is survived by her sister Helen Flett; daughter SandraBrown of New Zealand and her children, Kerry (Maria) of Sydney, Australia and Kim (Dan) of Wadonga, Australia; as well as several nieces and nephews.  The kindness and care given to Hazel by the nurses and staff of Pioneer Lodge was really wonderful and greatly appreciated.  In keeping with Hazel’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held.  For those so wishing, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
