TRENT HAMMOND
November 14th, 1961 to January 17th, 2014

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend Trent Hammond on Friday, January 17th, 2014, at the age of 52 years.  After a long courageous six-year battle with cancer, Trent passed away quietly at his home with his family and friends by his side.  Trent worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for 21 years.  After closing one of the last wood elevators, Trent decided to take on a new venture with his wife by opening Your Dollar Store with More in 2001 located in Moose Jaw.  Then in 2003, they opened a store in Assiniboia.  Trent was always keeping busy and was never scared to tackle any kind of project.  He was always willing to lend a hand to a stranger, neighbour, a friend or family member.  Being in the great outdoors was Trent’s favourite place to be.  Whether he was camping, boating or sitting by a campfire with friends.  In the winter he loved spending weeks at a time on the beaches of Mexico with his wife and friends, away from the Canadian cold.  For Trent, his family meant the world to him and he will be sadly missed by all of them.  Trent will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Debbie; children: Michael (Stacy), Tim (Melissa), Pam (Jarred) and Jordan (Courtenay); grandchildren: Eathen, Jayce, Madison, Alexis and Parker; parents, Bill and Olga; siblings: Rod (Dawn), Owen, Rhonda (Walter), Leonard (Tammy) and Crystal; as well as many nieces and nephews.  The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate.  Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions in Trent’s name to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 7T1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
