Neil Hallborg
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Hallborg on Saturday, November 8th, 2014. Neil passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 59 years. Neil was born on May 28th, 1955 to Wallace and Jessie Hallborg. Neil went to Chaplin School and then later worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for thirty five years. Neil married the love of his life, Brenda on June 10th, 1978. They made their home on the farm at Chaplin and had two wonderful children, Trent and Krista. Neil was a loving husband and a caring and committed dad. Neil’s greatest joy was time spent with his family. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting with friends. Neil was very involved in the community, he was a dedicated man with a great work ethic and never left a job unfinished. With his big smile and bright blue eyes, Neil was truly one of a kind! We will miss you Bodie! Neil was predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Jessie Hallborg; brother Allen Hallborg; father and mother-in-law Gordon and Josephine Crowther and sister-in-law Joyce Thares. Neil will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Brenda; son Trent and daughter Krista (Ken) Hahn; siblings: Melvin (Lynda), Ken (Linda), Sharon (Richard) Solberg, Gord (Patsy), Dale (Deb), Ron (Michele) and Kevin (Audra), sister and brother-in-law Judy (Glen) Adrian; as well as many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A celebration of Neil’s life will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chaplin Community Hall. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at the Chaplin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neil’s memory may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK., S4T 7T1.
