STANLEY WAYDE HAGLEY
March 21st, 1948 – February 23rd, 2015
Stan was a father, grandfather, husband and guardian. He was a child of God, a Canadian Reservist and a millwright-machinist. Stan was born in Regina, SK at the Grey Nuns Hospital and was raised in Drinkwater, SK. He married Roxanne Elaine Johnson from Morse, SK on February 23rd, 1974. They had three boys, John, Jason and Jamie, in Moose Jaw before moving to BC in 1980. Stan taught by example to work hard and to respect all people. He shared his love through gifts and staying close to family. Stan was neat and meticulous, keeping a daily journal. He retired early at age 55, and during his retirement he traveled across Canada, spent a winter in Victoria, BC and took on a maintenance job at Manning Park Resort in BC, bringing smiles to the faces of visitors and fellow workers alike. Stan finally settled back down in Moose Jaw, where he could care for and spend cherished time with his mom and his life-long friend, Russell Becker. Stan outlived a heart attack at age 45 and then a heart failure at 65. These last months, almost two years, have been a blessing for all his family and close friends. Stan is survived by his wife and three boys, as well as his mother,
Beatrice; sisters, Pat and Sue; brothers: Dan, Malcolm, Tim and Tyler; and all of their families. For some this life would be considered shorter than desired, but for Stanley, he completed all that he desired. In keeping with Stan’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Stan’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
