Leonard Robert Hack
Leonard Robert Hack, born February 1st, 1923 in Shaunavon, SK., passed away December 20th, 2010 at Providence Place. Len was a plumber for many years, working at Caribou Sheet Metal and Plumbing for 25 years. He was a hard working man who built his family two homes and in later years, puttered around helping any of the kids and family that needed help with renovations. He spent many enjoyable years on the road in his motor home and attending family reunions and gatherings. He also made some pretty good dandelion wine. Len moved into Capilano Court in Moose Jaw from Shaunavon two years ago when he lost his eye sight and then after a fall was moved to Providence Place. Len was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Eva Hack; his son, Ron; sister, Helen (Art) Kohl; brothers, Fred (Thelma) Hack and Louis Hack; brother-in-law, Victor Lamothe; and his children’s mother, Phyllis Hafichuk. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Marie Lamothe of Shaunavon, Albert (Geri) Hack of Regina, Velma (Leo) Cote of Lethbridge, Frieda (Maurice) Wendelboe of Lethbridge, Marg (George) Wiebe of Swift Current, and Rose (John) Nystrom of Vernon; sister-in-law, Marion Hack; and their families. He will be missed by his children, Barb (Grant) Hannan of Nanimo, Barry (Hazel) Hack of Moose Jaw, Larry Hack of Moose Jaw, Sherry (Lloyd) Walters of Victoria and Len Hack Jr. of Coquitlam; daughter-in-law, Karen Hack of Regina; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Capilano Court and Providence Place for their care of our Dad. Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date in Shaunavon.
