Carl Norman Haavisto
Carl Norman Haavisto, aged 78 years of Tuxford, SK, passed away at his home on Friday, July 8th, 2016. Carl was born at Larder Lake, Timiskaming County, ON on May 12th, 1938. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean; sons, Norman and Marvin (Sherri); daughter, Tanya (Kelly); grandchildren: David, Allen (Katilyn), Meagan, Cody (Danielle), Brandee, Shayna, Blake, Rhea, Tyler, Scott and Keisha; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Jacob, Xander, Paisley and Sophia; brother-in-law, Gerald Jones of Garson, ON and his children David, Jeff, James, Brenda and Patricia; sisters-in-law, Julie (Neal) and Joan (Berndt); brothers-in-law, Byron and Brian (Kelly), all of BC; and all of our adopted “kids and grandkids”. Carl’s family would like to thank: Pastor Roger for the visits to our home, his comforting hand and service was appreciated, Wayne and Elaine for the surprise visit so Carl could “Drive the Horses” one more time – that meant a lot to us, Dr. Susan Bell and Dr. Albert for their care and comfort, and the EMS and RCMP for your compassion and hugs. Thank you also to all of our caring friends who stopped by to see him. Those visits meant a great deal. A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Foust officiating. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Carl’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
