Jerry Haaf
Jerry Haaf of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 23rd, 2009. Jerry was born on July 18th, 1942 in Leader, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents Nick and Pauline Haaf, his sister Sue Poffenroth, his niece Lisa Montgomery, and brother-in-law Art Wandler. Jerry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years Elain; his children Dean (Doreen) and Cindy (Dwayne)Pettitt; grandchildren Kaybrie and Cole Haaf and Tavian Pettitt; his siblings Ken (Elaine), Edna Wandler, Nick, Garry (Chris); in-laws Verne (Nancy) Gummeson and Lois (George) Seward; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 26th, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Rev. John Carley will officiate. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Jerry had 30 years of service with Canadian Armed Forces as a Safety Systems Tech. He enjoyed his retirement and especially the times he and Elain spent social and square dancing. Jerry was always there to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbours. He will be missed by all who knew him.
