Gordon Frank Grant
Gordon Frank Grant, aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully at Providence Place on July 12th, 2017. Born in Moose Jaw, Gordon received his education there. He served in the Royal Canadian Army until his honorable discharge. Gord then worked for the CPR for 42 years, retiring as a Railway Engineer. Gordon married Dorothy Turner on September 8th, 1956 and together they raised two children. Gord was a Moose Jaw Warriors season ticket holder from their beginning. He enjoyed baseball and was a member of the Lynbrook Golf Course and an outdoorsmen at heart. He tried daily to solve the world’s problems at coffee row at the A&W with his buddies. Gordon was predeceased by his parents, his six siblings and his wife Dorothy. He will be lovingly remembered by son, Brian (Diane) and their children Kyle, Jenn, Evan and great granddaughter Adalynn, daughter Bev (Darcie) and her children Nicole, Justin and great grandson Jayceon and numerous other relatives. In keeping with the family’s wishes, a private service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Gordon’s name may be made to a Moose Jaw charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Vincent wing at Providence Place for their compassionate and loving care of dad.
