Predeceased by her parents, Karl and Mary Dorsch; sister Mary Glass; brothers Charles, Albert, Alexander, Paul, and Robert Dorsch; and first husband John Forberg. Minnie is survived by her husband Philip Geransky, two sons Richard (Karen) and Ronald (Bhrin) Forberg of Moose Jaw, Sk.; four grandchildren Trina (Gary) Couzens, Tara (James) Oliver, Jennifer and Ryan Forberg; four great grandchildren; step children Marlys, Lloyd, Joyce, Clifford, Richard, Diane, and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Minnie was born in Leader, Sk. before moving to the Weyburn area with her family. In 1947 she moved to Moose Jaw where she worked for a number of years with the Maple Leaf Bakery. Minnie enjoyed her work immensely and was especially happy with the many long standing friendships made at this time. She cherished family life, her garden and flowers, and was a “true Domestic Engineer”. Since marrying Phil in 1989, Minnie lived on his farm in the Hepburn area spending enjoyable time with many new friends, two families, church activities, and a very large and beautiful garden. The family is truly grateful for the love shown Mom by Phil and his family for the last 18 years as well as the warm and professional care shown her by the staff at Chez Nouz, her Doctors and staff at the Union Hospital and EMS personnel during the past three weeks. A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery. Rev. Doug Shepherd will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Minnie’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
