Leonard Longest Geisler, aged 79 years of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 29 th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph ‘s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3 rd Ave. N.W. Father Alex Osei will be the Presiding Celebrant with interment taking place at Rosedale Cemetery . Leonard was born in the Avonlea district where he received his education. He also farmed in the Avonlea area until 1989. Leonard was also a farm equipment salesperson working at Sagal Bros. and Fritz Frank & Sons. He served two terms on the Moose Jaw Sep. School Board, was a third degree Knight of Columbus and was a member of the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club. Predeceased by his parents Anna and Peter; sister Elizabeth Schiml; and four brothers Peter, Edward, Joseph, and Linus. Leonard will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Boyd (Glenda); four daughters Kelly (Graham) Glezerson, Nicole and Bryan, Kerry (Kevin) Swanson, Mandy and Brett, Cori (Kim) McIvor, Chandra, Mitchell, and Laurae, Jana (Rob) McKinley; four sisters Agnes, Marie, Monica, Isabel; two brothers John, Don; as well as numerous other relatives.
