Abel Ernest Gaudry

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Abel Ernest Gaudry on Monday, November 2nd, 2015 at the age of 87 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, Philippe and Emiliana Gaudry; wives: Corrine, Mary and Francis; brothers: Leo, Marcel, Gerry and Robert; as well as sisters: Elsie, Rita, Annette, Juliette and Lucille.  Abel is survived by his sister, Frieda (Wray) Johnston of Invermere, BC; son, Duane (Susan) McKeen, James and Nicholas of Edmonton, AB; estranged daughter, Colette (Gardner), Charleen and Jennifer; estranged son, Darrell (Sandra) McKeen, Jason and Alex; estranged daughter, Tammy (David) Ruzesky, Andrew, Amanda and Mathew; as well as many nieces and nephews.  Abel was born on November 28th, 1928.  He was a handy man of many trades, and lived and worked most of his life around St. Victor, Assiniboia and Moose Jaw, SK.  He very seldom ventured far away from home.  Abel will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 14th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Church of Our Lady, 566 Vaughan St, Moose Jaw, SK.  Father Jake Ibay will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Abel’s name may be made to Extendicare Nursing Home, 1151 Coteau St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 5G5 or to the Alzheimer Association of Saskatchewan, 301 – 2550–12th Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
