Joseph Habib Gajadhar
December 11th, 1943 – March 15th, 2017
Joseph Habib Gajadhar passed away peacefully and on his terms with family by his side from complications following cancer surgery at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Joe was born in Trinidad and Tobago on December 11, 1943. Joe immigrated to Canada in 1969, settled in Moose Jaw, and worked at Extendicare from 1969 until his retirement in 2005. He married the love of his life Lynn McSween in 1974, and they welcomed their twin boys Steven and Collin in 1975. His zest for life was unsurpassed, and while he enjoyed his garden, hunting, fishing, and golf, his biggest passion was his grandsons. His veggies were famous and he kept his friends and family supplied with many varieties of wholesome goodness. He was a man of few words, with a heart that knew no boundaries. He loved to be surrounded by friends and family and was known to lift a drink or two at the Moose Jaw Legion or Lynbrook Golf Club. Joe is predeceased by his two beautiful sons, Collin (1976) and Steven (2013). He leaves to mourn his wife Lynn, daughter-in-law Sarah, grandsons Leo and Cameron, the Adams, McSween, Rice and Rosser extended families, as well as his many loyal and loving friends. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Shepherd officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s name may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59, 268 High Street West, Moose Jaw, Sk. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
