Edward “Ed” Carl Gabel

Edward “Ed” Carl Gabel, aged 90 years of Crane Valley, SK, passed away Sunday, January 22nd, 2012. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Dr., Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend John Kreutzwieser will officiate and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery. Legion Rites will be conducted by Marty Martell of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59. He was predeceased by his parents. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Elsie; sons: Don (Brenda) and their children Jeremy (Jacqueline) Gabel, Troy Gabel, Danielle Gabel and Byron Gabel; Glen and his children Devin (Sheri) Gabel and Dustin Gabel; daughter Dianne (Ken) Hartell and their children Angela Hartell, Cody Hartell and Megan Hartell; as well as numerous other relatives. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Ed’s name may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1S8 or to the Providence Place Healing Gardens Fund, 100 – 2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1B8.
