Carol Froehlich
January 17, 1928 – August 3, 2009
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Carol Froehlich announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carol died peacefully on August 3rd, 2009 with her family by her side. As she did throughout her life, Carol drew her family together in the weeks prior to her death. Together, with family, she shared many moments of laughter and countless memories in the final days of her life. Carol was born in Estevan to Nympha and Anthony Mack, one of fifteen children. She married John Froehlich in 1949 and together they farmed at Marquis and raised a family of thirteen children. Carol was an active member within her church and community. Mom’s spirited nature and love of gatherings allowed her to enjoy countless hours of games and visiting and kept her mind sharp and her heart young. Mom’s faith and love of family made her a mentor, a role model and a pillar of strength for her family and all who shared in her life. Mom lived her life with dignity, courage and a wonderful sense of humour. We were blessed to have her in our lives and we will miss her. Carol is predeceased by her husband John, daughter Sharon Frick, and grandson Shawn Berg. She is survived by sons Russell (Leona), Michael (Carrie), Wade (Leahn), Cliff (Lisa), Tony (Kelly) and daughters Marilyn (John) Law, Helen (Larry) Tessier, Kathy (Monte) Berg, Bert (Don) Robb, Elaine (Ken) Oak, Anita (Kelly) Bryant, Carrie (Mark) Mullen and their families. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on Saturday, August 8th, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Reverend Father Neil Osiowy will be the presiding celebrant. Private interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery at Marquis. Flowers are gratefully declined.
