Marjorie Gladys Foster
Marjorie Gladys Foster (nee Atkins) of Moose Jaw , SK passed away on Thursday, February 1st, 2007. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Pastor Barry Gammie will officiate with interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Marjorie lived most of her life in Moose Jaw. She was a long time active member of First Baptist Church teaching Sunday school, working in the young peoples and serving on many committees. Marjorie worked at Central Motors for ten years and then at Eatons for five years. After getting married, she worked full time as a wife and mother. Some of Marjorie’s most precious times were spent with her family. Predeceased by her husband Leighton; parents Arthur and Edna Atkins; sister Audrey White; brother Stan Atkins; and brothers-in-law Cec Kindred and Alf Yeager. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Joanne (Bill) Davenport of Kentville, Nova Scotia and two granddaughters Alanna and Breanna; three sisters Phyllis Kindred of Regina, SK, Vera Yeager of Cranbrook, BC, and Vivian (Mike) Olynik of Calgary, AB; sister-in-law Lil Atkins of Moose Jaw, SK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2M2 or to a charity of one’s choice in Marjorie’s name. Special thanks to Sylvia Keall and Homecare.
