ALBERT DAVID FOSTER
September 10th, 1944 – December 15th, 2012
Albert “David” Foster aged 68 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away early in the morning on Saturday, December 15th, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Louise Foster; grandson, Scott Schaitel and his beloved wife, Sharon Foster (Weeres). David will be sadly missed and survived by his sisters, Vera Gerrish and Roberta Newsham; children: Amanda(Mike) Blais, Bridget (Brett) Schaitel, Collin Foster and Devin (Melody) Foster; grandchildren: Bradley, Katlynn and Michael Schaitel, Parker, Dylan and Cody Blais, Georgia and Winter Foster; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. David resided in Moose Jaw all his life, helping to raise his 4 children and working at the Canadian Forces Base as a Carpenters helper until he became too ill to work. David lived with many serious health conditions over the last 24 years and treasured all of the moments that he was able to be around for, birthdays, weddings, graduations and the birth of his 8 grandchildren. He was always prepared to make his infamous midnight phone call to be the first to celebrate each occasion. His greatest joy in life was being able to spend time with his grandchildren, often joking that if he knew they would be this much fun he would have had them first, making sure to spoil them rotten and then send them home with their parents. His favourite memory of his grandchildren would be of watching them drop a spoon or dish on the floor, which he would pick up, laugh and place back within reach of the child, keeping both entertained for hours! Grandpa D will be sadly missed by his grandchildren. David resided at Temple Towers for the last 6 years where he could always be found playing cards, calling Bingo, playing shuffleboard or just enjoying coffee and conversation with his friends. David enjoyed the many suppers, BBQ`s and social events held throughout the year. Living at Temple Towers added a spark to Dave’s life, allowing him his independence, companionship and friendships that he greatly cherished. In keeping with David’s wishes, a Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in David’s name may be made to The Temple Towers Tenant Association c/o Shuffleboard Fund, 750 – 1st Avenue N.E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 6M1.
