Esther (Nelson) Floyd
1908 – 2006
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother at Chez Nous on Friday, December 15 th , 2006. Esther was born in North Dakota and at the age of two she emigrated with her parents and siblings to Hilda, Ab., where she grew up. Her family, home, and friends were the most important part of her life. She loved entertaining family and friends and was an excellent cook. Her home was spotless until the day she left it. Esther is predeceased by her first husband Bob Nelson, her second husband Earl Floyd and her granddaughter Daan Nelson. Esther is survived by her son Lyle (Sue) Nelson, grandson Robert Nelson and his mother Grace Nelson; daughter Ruby (Dave) Watkins, grandchildren and their children: Dave (Lori) Watkins, Carly and Kent; Chereen (Denis) Delage, Chantal and Danielle; Lenard (Sharon) Watkins, Rhian and Kaitlin; stepson John (June) Floyd, Laurie and Ian; She will be missed by her dear friends Elsie Langhorne, Lucy Winkler and family, as well as all of her friends at Pioneer Housing , where she has lived for the past few years. At Esther’s request there will be no Funeral service. Interment will take place at Aylesbury Memorial Cemetery , Aylesbury, Sk. with a private family service at a later date. Donations made to the Aylesbury Memorial Cemetery , Aylesbury, Sk. in Esther’s name, would be appreciated by the family.
