Robert George Fish
Robert George Fish, aged 80 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday February 17th, 2014. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 24th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, 1010 Main St. N., Moose Jaw, SK with Pastor Adam Driscoll officiating. A private family interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Robert was born October 12th, 1933 in Montreal, Quebec. He came to Moose Jaw with his mother and brother in 1941, due to his father going overseas to serve during the war. He attended school in Moose Jaw and spent two years in Ottawa to become a Cartographer. He also had many other employment opportunities. Robert worked his way through New Zealand, Australia, Africa, England, finally returning to Calgary until he retired to Moose Jaw in 1997. He was a cat lover and also enjoyed golf, tennis, badminton, squash, canoeing and photography. He has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Moose Jaw since November 2002. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Mabel Fish. Robert is survived by his brother, Frank (Lorraine) Fish; 5 nieces: Caron (Dave) Pelletier, Sandra (Dave) Hutchinson, Barbara (Rod) Markewich, Roberta (Daryl) Renaud and Donna (Richard) Cluwchynski; nephew, Brian (Marie) Fish; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or the First Baptist Church, 24 Oxford St. W., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2N1.
