Dale August Fischer
Dale August Fischer, 60, passed away Wednesday December 16, 2020. Dale was born September of 1960 to August and Margaret Fischer in Vanguard, SK. As a child Dale excelled at track & field and enjoyed helping out on the family farm. After finishing post-secondary school at SIAST for his Heavy Duty Mechanic, he farmed alongside his parents for nearly 30 years West of Moose Jaw.
A retired farmer, Dale loved spending time with family & friends, drawing, painting and woodworking. Many projects included lawn ornaments, board games, bird houses and paintings of his favorite photographs. It was not out of the ordinary for Dale to have a stash of candy for his great nieces and nephews. One of Dale’s biggest accomplishments was being a grandfather, he wasn’t shy about showing off the latest picture of his two favorite little humans to anyone that was willing to take a look. Dale will be remembered for being kind, thoughtful, and generous with a great sense of humor. He was taken too soon from the ones that loved him and made an impact on everyone he met, he will be missed beyond measures.
Dale was predeceased by his father, August (1999). He will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children: Cora (Matt), Kalyn and Des; 2 grandchildren, Charlie and Harlow; stepchildren, Tesha and Wyatt; 2 sisters, Dianne (Ron) and Donna (Lothar); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and the one and only woman who had his heart from day one, his mother Margaret.
A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Saturday, August 21st, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Moose Jaw Art Gallery, 461 Langdon Cres, Moose Jaw, SK. Please use the level entry doors of the Art Gallery and take elevator to 5th floor. Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations in Dale’s name to Hunger in Moose Jaw, 269 Stadacona St W. Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1Z4. He would take great pride in knowing that donations were going towards children’s bellies being full. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. I am saddened to hear of Dale’s passing way to young.
Dear Family, I am so sorry to hear about your dear loved one. Losing someone we love is perhaps the most difficult thing we have to deal with in life. But our Creator tells us at Psalm 34:18 that he is aware of our pain and loss, it says, “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I hope you find comfort in this.
My sincere condolences I was shocked to hear about Dale I have many fond memories of us hanging out back in the day
