Tim Finiak
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 at the Regina General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Tim was born in Moose Jaw, SK. on October 20th, 1951. He grew up on the family farm at Lake Valley. He attended school at Lake Valley and Brownlee. In 1970, Tim started work at TransCanada Pipelines, “Station 13”, at Caron, SK. On May 3rd, 1975, Tim married Janice MacLachlan and together they bought John & Hilda Eberle’s farm. They then purchased Milt & Ida Moberg’s land and moved into their beautiful home. This home was later moved the half mile down the road to the Eberle farm where they raised their three children. For many years, Tim worked pipeline construction and when he was away, his young sons (along with help from their uncle, grandpa and neighbors when needed) did the farming. In more recent years, Tim was proud to spend his time building the farming operation with his sons. Tim was predeceased by his father John in 1995, his grandparents Wassyl and Mary Feniak and Wendelyn and Anna Maria Bishoff. Tim is survived by his wife Janice; son Jason (Melissa) and Papa to their children Harper and Ciara; son Kelly(Amber) and Papa to their children Brooklyn and Jayce; daughter Alissa; his mother Genevieve Finiak, sisters Lynda (Nick) Thul, Rosanne (Dave) Chamberlain and Janice Heisler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be missed by his faithful Shitzu, Missy and our other canine companions Harley, Jack and Caesar. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Alliance Church with Reverend Doug Shepherd officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Donations may be made in Tim’s name to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK. S6H 9Z9.
