Doreen Fields

Doreen Fields, aged 94 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully at Providence Place on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018.  She was predeceased by her father, Edger P. Fields (Jack); mother, Cecilia Fields; sister, Marge Fields; brother, Cyril Fields; and sister-in-law, Kay Fields.  Doreen will be lovingly remembered by Sharon (Jack) Baron; Shirley Thorbergson; cousin, Bob; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.  Doreen was born on August 16th, 1923.  She lived a full life and enjoyed her gardening and a good hand of bridge.  In her early years she worked for the Capital Theatre in the concession stand, and ran the Milk Bar with her sister Marge.  Later, she worked as a graphic artist for the Snowbirds.  Doreen has a great-nephew, Rod Thiessen, in Providence Place and they would visit each other and attend the odd dinner together.  We would like to thank the staff of the St. Vincent Wing at Providence Place for the great care and kindness, smiles and hugs over the last year of her life.  In keeping with Doreen’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Doreen’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2 or the Shriners Hospital for Sick Children c/o Moose Jaw Shrine Club, 1767 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 1L6.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
