Ed Fedorwick
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ed (Feather) on October 18th, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Ed was born in Poland and immigrated with his parents Stanley and Emily to Moose Jaw in 1926. During World War II Ed served with the RCAF in England where he met the love of his life, Edna Elsworth and they were married there on November 22nd, 1944. Ed spent his entire career with CP Rail and retired in 1980 as an Engineer. He was a Life-Time Member of the Elks. He had a love and special talent for woodworking. In his younger years Ed loved to play fastball and was a fan of all sports, especially baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays being his favourite team. Ed lived a rich, full life and will be missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Edna; sons Marty of Burnaby, B.C., Stan (Val) of Medicine Hat, AB, Graham (Krista) of Saskatoon and Rick (Bev) of Calgary, AB; by his 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and his sister Loretta. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Ed and Edna’s friend and neighbours Wayne and Lilly Voytilla for all their help and support over the years. At Ed’s request there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, Sk., S7K 2H8.
