Audrey Anne Erickson
Audrey Anne Erickson, aged 61 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday, February 1st, 2020, at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Audrey was born on October 18th, 1958 to her loving parents John and Mathilde Mintenko. She was her Dad’s “Little Loves”. She grew up in Moose Jaw and attended Sacred Heart School, Vanier Collegiate and Academy of Learning. Audrey had a long career working at Extendicare for 30 plus years in various positions, enjoying her time with the Alzheimer’s patients the most. She loved making all sorts of crafts and stitchery, and spent many hours creating treasures that gave her so much joy to share with others. She spent many summers camping and loved fishing in both summer and winter. Audrey was an avid gardener and of course, a great cook. But her most important love was for her family. They were her inspiration and motivation to fight this dreadful disease. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Audrey made friends easily and treasured those times spent with them. Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her father, Johnny Mintenko; father-in-law, Louis Fiset; and husband, Wayne Fiset. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Harry Erickson; mother, Mathilde Mintenko (Charlie McNutt); brother, Leonard (Bernadette); sons: Jeff Trumbley Jr. (Ali), Andrew Trumbley (Alicia), Greg Trumbley (Jennette), Jarrod Erickson (Leah), and Tyler Erickson (Laura); numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as her special mother-in-law, Lorraine Fiset. Special thanks to Lynn, Pat and the community care team, the Palliative Care Unit at Pioneers Lodge, and Kelly from Vital Aire for all their acts of kindness and care shown to Audrey, The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor John Reimer will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Audrey’s name may be made to the Sandy Creek Gospel Jamboree, Box 108, Caronport, SK S0H 0S0.
