Eppy, Bryan (1937-2013)
Bryan Edward Eppy of Moose Jaw, SK went to be with his Lord on Monday, August 26th, 2013. Bryan was born in Regina, SK on December 21st, 1937; second son to George and Beryl Eppy. He spent his childhood in Mossbank and in 1956 became a member of the RCMP. He married the love of his life Brenda (nee Leverton) on July 20th, 1963. His career with the RCMP took them to various detachments throughout Alberta and eventually to Regina. They went back to Mossbank to retire in 1980. After retirement from the RCMP, he began a new career with Great West Life in 1987 where he remained until May 2013. In January 2013, Bryan underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor at which time he also suffered a stroke. After 5 months of rehab, Bryan was ready to come home. Within days of making preparations to go home, Bryan was diagnosed with 2 more tumors which were malignant and eventually took his life here on earth. Predeceased by his parents and infant granddaughter Kristyn Schellenberg; Bryan was survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda; daughters Lynda (Barry) Usherwood and their children Jeff, Carolyn and Hayley; Davina (Michael) Kowalski and their sons Steven (Chantal Taylor), Justin (Taylor Steinhubl), Carson (Mary Kate Johnson); Karen (Brent) Schellenberg and their daughters Larissa and Jaylene; and Darla (Travis) Jolly and their sons Riley and Tanner; great granddaughter Paisley Kowalski and great grandson Bowen Kowalski; brothers Grant (Susan) of Calgary, AB and Garry (Shirley) of Pennsylvania; and sister Onalee (Bill) Oakes of Calgary, AB as well as many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bryan’s life will be held on Saturday August 31st, 2013 at 1:30pm at the First Free Methodist Church, 375 Hochelaga St W. Moose Jaw, Sk. A visitation will be held on Friday evening at 7pm, at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Donations may be made in memorium to Soul’s Harbor Rescue Mission, 3535 8th Ave, Regina, SK S4T 0T6, or to Riverside Mission, 40 Manitoba St E, Moose Jaw, Sk S6H 0A2.
