Ernest Henry “Hank” Enns
Ernest Henry “Hank” Enns, aged 79 years of Tugaske, Sask., passed away on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016. A Memorial Tea Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Harvey Room in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. He was born at his home in Parkerview, SK, (near Yorkton) on May 20th, 1936 to parents Henry and Maria Enns. He attended Harrison School, just north of Tugaske, until he left home at the age of 20 years going to work for the Canadian Pacific Railway as a bridge builder. He left CPR and joined the Department of Highways as a crane operator until his accident on August 4, 1961. Hank married Verna Clara Skeoch, and they lived in Moose Jaw until 1964 when they returned to the family farm at Tugaske (seven miles north). The farm was sold in 1975, and Hank took over the post office from George Hutchings. Since his retirement in 1999, Hank and Verna had been enjoying wintering in Yuma, AZ. Hank will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Verna; three children: Quentin (Maggie) Enns and their children Trista, Dylan, Hudson and Julius; Laura (David) Corry and children: Nicholas England (deceased), Scott England & Melissa (Travis, Owen and Isabelle) Curtis England (Seth), Lucas Corry; Jason (Ronda) Enns and their children Dawson and Noah; three sisters, one brother and numerous extended family members. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Hank’s name may be made to the War Amps, 2827 Riverside Drive Ottawa, Ontario K1V 0C4.
